Pregnancy Stages – First Trimester | Second Trimester | Third Trimester – Words of Woman

Welcome to Wordsofwoman’s blog, today we will focus on three Pregnancy stages which are First Trimester, Second Trimester & Third Trimester. We will thoroughly discuss what we should actual be expecting to feel and see.
Newly conceived mother / first time mothers are constantly feeling anxious and excited to know what’s going on with their bodies in this early pregnancy stages and what to expect ,what’s normal and what needs doctor’s attention.
So here we are going to clear all those doubts, questions in your mind.
FIRST TRIMESTER – [WEEK 1(first day of your last period) till WEEK 13] –
- Sore breast
- Tiredness / Feeling exhausted by small work
- Frequent Urination
- Heavy Breast
- Shortness of Breath
- Cramps – feels like period will start anytime
- Backache
- Nausea
- Feeling Hungry / Craving for certain food
- Feeling Resistant or Nauseous Due to Certain Food
- Morning Sickness or Vomiting
- May gain some Weight – Which is actually Placenta weight (Source of food for the baby in your uterus)
SECOND TRIMESTER – [WEEK 13 – WEEK 28] –
- Your Morning sickness may start to fade away and you may start feeling better.
- Your hunger increases
- You may feel anxious
- Lots of Mood swings – You may feel Sad, depressed, weepy, happy, excited, nervous all in one day.
- You gain weight may be around 5kg – 6 kgs (every women and her pregnancy differs from one another, so even if you gain more or less but you and baby is completely healthy then its absolutely normal)
- You start craving certain type of food more like salty, savory or sweet.
- Your skin feels soft and bright aka – Pregnancy Glow.
THIRD TRIMESTER – [WEEK 28 – WEEK 40] –
- You start feeling Very tired /exhausted.
- Increase in Irritation and frustration.
- You start feeling uncomfortable with each passing day.
- Pregnancy Brain start taking over – forgetfulness / weepy all time.
- Pelvic pain / backache.
- You will have Braxton – Hicks
- Discomfort due to weight gain .
- Fear of birth / labor will make you anxious.
- Baby will start putting a lot of pressure on your uterus so bathroom visits will surely increase.
At the end, the thing is- Pregnancy is a Journey – and Every women will have different experience going through it but the destination will always be beautiful.
So try to be present and savor every moment (focus your attention on the positive aspects of this experience).
