1.The Most Important factor while calculating baby’s due date is LMP [LAST MENSTRUAL PERIOD] Date.

Most pregnancy lasts 280 days i.e. 40 weeks , but it can range from 37 to 42 weeks .Generally doctor needs to know the FIRST DAY of your last period and length of your cycle.

2.In case of irregular menstrual cycle, doctor rely more on ultrasound to see the age of the baby and from that we can predict how long the woman is pregnant.
